Scot Horst is responsible for all product research, development, implementation and execution at USGBC.

Scot established LEED as a global benchmark through a global, regional and local growth strategy that includes the LEED International Roundtable, now comprised of thirty eight countries and responsible for LEED technical development around the world.He guided staff and volunteers in the development of LEED v4, and is chief inventor of the LEED Dynamic Plaque, a scoring device for whole building performance.

Scot holds dual degrees in philosophy and voice performance from Oberlin College and the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. He sang opera professionally, and established a furniture design studio. click here.
